Dr. Roger Jahnke, OMD  selected by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will present a keynote lecture and a practical applications workshop September 8-11, 2009.

The Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC) is proud to cooperate with the NIH, the National Cancer Institute and National  Institute for the Heart, Lung and Blood to make Mind-Body week a great success. Experts in the Mind-Body Practice field will travel frrom all directions to make this week a historic occasion.

NIH Mind-Body Week will be held in Bethesda MD (an easy Metro stop). It is dedicated to exploring the science and practice of stress management and health enhancement through Mind-Body Practice modalities. NIH Mind-Body Week is part of an ongoing series of free public events at the NIH dedicated to increasing awareness and public education in wellness and holistic health care.

The NIH is the largest health care research agency in the world. Since 1992 with the Office of Alternative Medicine (OAM) and later with the up grade to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), the NIH has been accelerating research in the areas of  Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, mindfulness meditation, complementary medicine, integrative medicine, holistic medicine.

TOPICS INCLUDE: Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, Reiki, Meditation, Mindfulness Meditation,  Dance, Art Therapy, Pilates Massage, and lots more.
